Understanding Financial Markets Through Real Analysis

We teach people how to read company fundamentals the way professional investors do

Since 2019, we've been helping Australians move past market noise and speculation. Our approach centers on understanding actual business performance, not chasing trends or predictions.

How We Started

Back in 2019, three of us were working in different corners of Australian finance. One was an equity analyst at a Sydney firm, another ran financial modeling workshops, and the third spent years explaining investment concepts to retail clients.

We kept seeing the same problem. People wanted to understand investing but got overwhelmed by jargon and contradictory advice. Market commentary focused on short-term movements rather than what companies actually do.

So we started elivonariq to bridge that gap. We focus on teaching fundamental analysis the practical way—reading financial statements, understanding business models, and evaluating management decisions. Not overnight riches or trading secrets. Just the same tools professionals use to assess whether a company makes sense as an investment.

Our first workshop had twelve people in a borrowed office space. Now we run programs across Australia, both in person and online. But the core idea hasn't changed: help people understand what they're buying when they invest in a company.

What Drives Our Work

Everything we do circles back to making financial analysis accessible and useful for real people

Real Company Data

We work exclusively with actual financial reports from ASX-listed companies. Students learn to find and interpret information that's publicly available but often overlooked.

Clear Explanations

Financial concepts don't need to be mysterious. We break down balance sheets, cash flow statements, and valuation methods into language that makes sense.

Practical Applications

Every lesson connects to real investment decisions. You'll learn how to spot red flags in earnings reports and evaluate whether management is creating value.

Industry Context

Understanding numbers means understanding the business behind them. We teach how different industries work and what metrics matter most in each sector.

Honest Limitations

Good analysis reduces uncertainty but never eliminates it. We're upfront about what fundamental analysis can and cannot tell you about future performance.

Long-Term Thinking

Our focus is on evaluating businesses over years, not quarters. That perspective helps filter out short-term volatility and concentrate on sustainable value.

What We Believe About Teaching Finance

Start With Why It Matters

Before diving into formulas, we explain why a particular metric exists and what problem it solves for investors. Understanding the purpose makes the technique stick.

Use Actual Examples

We pull real cases from Australian companies to illustrate concepts. Seeing how BHP's balance sheet differs from Woolworths helps more than abstract theory ever could.

Encourage Questions

The best learning happens when students challenge assumptions and probe deeper. We create space for those conversations rather than rushing through content.

Build Gradually

Fundamental analysis involves many interconnected concepts. We structure lessons so each new piece builds on what you already understand rather than overwhelming you with everything at once.
